Our kitchen runs real food-safety protocol (separate handwash station, sanitizer, cold chain). Fire extinguishers at every cook station, CO detectors in the trailer, heat shielding behind the ranges. Caring for 30 turtles in a desert is a civic act, and we take it seriously.
First-burn tips
Learn where camp fire extinguishers and the first aid kit live โ on day one.
Check on people: heat exhaustion sneaks up. 'Have you had water lately?' saves burns.
Rangers (khaki) are there to help, not police you. Flag them for anything beyond camp scale.
