What it means

A gift expects nothing back. Not money, not barter, not even a thank-you.
Gifts aren't just objects — a meal, a repair, a song, directions, an hour of listening are all gifts.
The economy of BRC runs on this. Nobody sells anything (except ice and coffee at Center Camp).

Turtle Ops itself is a gift — we open-sourced our whole camp build, playbooks and agent included, so any camp can fork it. On playa, our kitchen feeds passersby, the AI Oracle tent gifts experiences to strangers, and the Open Source Orchestra gifts music anyone can join.

First-burn tips

Don't stress about bringing 'enough' gifts. Your attention and effort are the real currency.
Small and personal beats big and generic. Ten heartfelt stickers > a crate of forgotten trinkets.
Receive gracefully! Accepting a gift with delight is itself a gift to the giver.
